Student Instructions for Dual Credit Enrollment

For dual credit courses taught by college/university instructors - Juniors and Seniors

The Sioux Falls School District provides a variety of options for high school students to enroll in post-secondary courses. Students interested in courses offered through Augustana University or the University of Sioux Falls for dual credit please contact your school counselor. Participation can also be through the state’s dual credit program that partners with South Dakota’s public universities and technical colleges. Students receive 0.5 high school credit for each semester of a dual credit course.

Please note: Space provided for high school students is limited. Registration is conducted on a first-come-first-served basis. All costs of the course and materials are the responsibility of the student and/or parent/guardian.

Cost to the Students

  • $48.33 per credit hour.

    • Starting the Summer of 2024 the per credit hour will be $50.84.

  • Plus the cost of books and materials. 

Students are responsible for the payment of course credits to the postsecondary institution, the purchase of books and materials required by the course, and transportation needed to fulfill course requirements.
