The Sioux Falls School District 's proud tradition began in 1871 and continues to evolve as an educational leader and valuable contributor to the success of the city.

For more than 155 years, the Sioux Falls School District has provided rich educational experiences that serve as a foundation for every child. From the youngest learners in our early childhood classrooms to high school students taking dual credit and Advanced Placement college courses, each child has access to a program to meet their needs.
Our students walk across a stage and emerge with real-world training and certifications to immediately begin making a living in a local workforce that demands their skills. They move on to the military to serve and protect our freedoms. They further their education with 2 and 4-year degrees, outscoring their peers in college readiness exams and in AP scores. They move far beyond these next steps into the wide world that awaits them.
