Regular Education Bus

School boundary assignments in the Sioux Falls School District are made according to the residence of the parent/guardian. The Sioux Falls School District provides transportation for eligible students in grades K-8. Eligible students must live in a designated bus area in order to receive transportation.

Stopfinder App

Stopfinder, which is tied to the district’s bus routing software, is free to parents and guardians and allows users to customize when they receive alerts about their child’s bus location. Sioux Falls School District transportation leaders can target communications to specific locations in the city to communicate information that may only be relevant for that area. For example, if a road is closed and a bus will be late, only parents/guardians of students affected by that closure will be contacted.

School names that include the words Preschool or RISE are not choice schools.
