Today is the first of many substitute orientation trainings. Substitute teachers play a vital role in the education system, and SFSD relies on hundreds of subs each year to provide stability to the classroom when teachers need to be away. Thank you for everything you do!

SFSD congratulates its valued partner Steve Hildebrand of Promising Futures! Steve recently received the Community Service Award from the Associated School Boards of SD for his work to remove economic barriers so all students can see their bright futures ahead. Thank you, Steve!

It's a 20+ year partnership between Lincoln High School and @SiouxFallsFire. Yesterday, at the end of their 6th 8-5 rehearsal, the LHS Marching Band got a COOL treat. https://youtu.be/nTQ8nfutIr4

It was an exciting morning at the Community Engagement Center at Axtell Park today! For the past two weeks SCHEELS and Chick-Fil-A have been competing in the "Stuff The Bus" school supply drive, and while the final results are inconclusive, the real winner today was the students! School Bus Inc. provided the bus which was parked outside of SCHEELS, and today it was loaded up with the supplies and dropped off at Axtell Park. School based social workers will have access to the donated goods and will connect them with children in need so they are prepared for the first few weeks of school.

Back-to-school paperwork just got easier! There's a new, fast, phone-friendly way to fill out the Free/Reduced Meals Application! You'll be notified immediately. Use the QR code or the link to complete it TODAY! 🙂

Voices for Peace is working with SFSD schools to inform families of this program. An enrollment specialist will continue to meet families during school events like parent-teacher conferences, success nights, etc. Eligible families should enroll today! GetInternet.gov
