Transition for Young Adults with Disabilities

The end of a student's time in high school can be challenging. Families with young adults, ages 13-21 with disabilities, may also be wondering what's next. The Sioux Falls School District along with partners from the South Dakota Parent Connection invite families to better understand the transition process by participating in a day of learning on Saturday, April 13, 2024.

The event will be held at the Instructional Planning Center, 201 E. 38th Street, Sioux Falls, from 9am-3pm. Families will learn about guardianship, vocational rehabilitation, Supplemental Security Income Benefits, and transitions from 18-21 and beyond.

Vendors from throughout Sioux Falls will be onsite throughout the day to provide resources and answer questions. A free lunch is also available. Registration is required by April 7, 2024. Click here to complete that registration: https://bit.ly/43iqG4b

We hope to see you soon!
