Last night, Teonna earned 2nd place at the 2025 Poetry Out Loud National Finals in Washington, D.C., competing against the top high school poets from across the country. Along with the national runner-up title, she won a $10,000 prize!
Teonna represented South Dakota with powerful performances, including her recitation of "George Moses Horton, Myself" by George Moses Horton, bringing positive national recognition to Jefferson High School and the entire state!
