This coming weekend (April 13th-14th) there will be a wacipi, or powwow, to celebrate the Native graduates in the area. Come celebrate with them and their families, enjoy music and dancing, and indulge in some incredible food.

Students will be bringing home devices today in the event of inclement weather on Monday, March 25th.
Please remember to return devices with your student on Monday if we are able to have school in person, or on Tuesday if we need to have remote learning on Monday.
Plans are in the works for SFSD students and staff to bring electronic devices home over the weekend in the event that winter weather presents challenges on Monday. Our 5th graders were able to attend the Summit League game between SDSU and USD thanks to the generosity of Dr. Wermerson.
Movie night was a blast on Friday night!

Our families and the community who came to share in the fun helped raise money to assist a student's family with his medical bills as well as money for our parent group PASI (Parent Advocates for Spanish Immersion)!
To celebrate Read Across America Week, our third grade ELL students had the wonderful opportunity to meet author Meera Sriram. Meera met with them using google meet and read her book, A Garden in My Hands to them.
The third graders loved getting to meet this author and had so much fun learning about her culture and her book. Thank you Meera!

To ensure the safety of our staff and students, cars will no longer be allowed to drop off or pick up students on the north side of the building.
Instead, we kindly ask that you make arrangements to drop off and pick up your child in the following areas: the circle drive, Holbrook, Valleyview, or Foxdale. Please continue to use right turns only to keep traffic moving smoothly.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we prioritize the safety of everyone in our school community.
