5th graders got to go to the USD vs SDSU women's SEMI-FINAL game at the Denny Sanford Premier Center yesterday! What a fun afternoon cheering for the 605! #sdsu #usd #marchmadness

Students in 401 wrote their expository essays in "coffee shop mode." Typically, this just means silent work time with some jazzy music. However, as a whole class prize for quick transitions it turned into a real coffee shop where students could choose between hot chocolate, apple cider, or chocolate milk.

Rain or Shine...Everybody Reads! Week 1 update:
Terry Redlin students and staff were very busy reading this week! We are 6 days into Everybody Reads and have read 2,216 books! Way to go Eagles! Keep on reading and filling out those raindrops! Let's see our DOWNPOUR grow!

Welcome to the class of 2037!!

Do you have a student who will be in Kindergarten for the 24/25 school year? Thursday, March 7th is Kindergarten Registration at Terry Redlin from 4pm-6pm.

Rain or Shine… EVERYBODY READS!
From March 1 to March 22, students will be creating a DOWNPOUR of BOOKS. Students will count how many books they read or listen to and then fill out a raindrop for each one. We will add all the raindrops to our library display. Our Terry Redlin goal is 3,200 books! Let’s READ…READ…READ!

Thanks to Promising Futures', the 1st & 2nd grade students got to go to the Washington Pavilion to watch the "Tomas & The Library Lady" show yesterday morning. The students had a great morning!

We are having FUN in the SUN sliding into the week.

USF students visit the 5th grade classrooms every week here at Terry Redlin! These college students learn what it's like to be a 5th grader for their Juvenile Justice class.

4th graders got to make fraction brownies yesterday! Unfortunately, their teachers brought all the wrong measuring cups. Students had to save the day by creating equivalent fractions with the measuring cups available to ensure the correct amount of each ingredient was added. Magically, their ingredients created delicious cosmic brownies that they each enjoyed as they talked about real-life applications of equivalent fractions.

103 students spent last week focusing on quick transitions, and being respectful within the school. As a class, they worked hard to earn a flashlight party!

Students earned a free choice day because they filled up the cookie jar! Students use their SOAR skills in library to earn cookies. They had so much fun celebrating the great choices being made!
