First grade is learning about the life cycle of Chickens. Mr. Nathan, from 4H SDSU Outreach, led them in an experiment to learn about the different parts of an egg.

Yesterday, 2nd grade took a Field Trip to the Washington Pavilion. They had an experience that was entertaining, educational and exciting!






1st grade students spent some of there afternoon getting a glimpse of the eclipse yesterday. Next time this happens these students will be in their 30's.




Last Friday, Staff had a FINAL FOUR basketball challenge. Congratulations to Ms. Gulick on winning the game of lightning. #SOAR

Yesterday staff & students enjoyed HAT day! Hats off to all the 2nd graders on a great performance last night.


The 2nd grade Musical Performance "HATS!" is TONIGHT 4/4 with a show time of 6:30pm. Please have 2nd grade performers report to the MUSIC room at 6pm. Hats off to the 2nd graders for the great matinee performance this morning.

202 worked hard in March to show their SOAR skills during independent reading time. They filled up their independent reading star chart and as a reward they were able to read with stuffed animals during reading time. Way to SOAR!

Students in Physical Education class have been enjoying bowling the last couple of weeks in class. They had 2 lead up days and are currently on their second day of bowling in lanes, score keeping, and rotations within their teams. Ask your students about their bowling experience and watch for their score sheets to come home next week.




Students LOVED watching the "Whittier Road Show" perform. Thanks Whittier Middle School for the great performance.




That's a wrap! Rain or Shine, Everybody Reads was a MAJOR success at Terry Redlin. Students and staff read 7,003 books and created a HUGE downpour of raindrops in the library. Great work Eagles!




Plans are in the works for SFSD students and staff to bring electronic devices home over the weekend in the event that winter weather presents challenges on Monday. Hooray Terry Redlin students as we Strive for Five: On time, all day, every day, each week. As a reward for having the best daily attendance the 4th graders earned a churro from Taco Johns! This quarter the 4th grade class had a 92.5% attendance with the 5th grade class a bit behind at 92.3% attendance. Retrospectively 3rd grade had 91.6, 2nd 91.4, 1st 90.4, and kindergarten 87.9. Our attendance goal is to have 94% schoolwide.

Rain or Shine, Everybody Reads! Week 2 update: We definitely have a downpour in our library of 4,854 raindrops! Students and staff have been reading so much that we surpassed our school goal of 3,200 book. We are now reaching for 6,000. 5 days left! Way to go Eagles!
