Team 6.3 Science students took a Trip Around the Sun last week to demonstrate their understanding of how the Earth's movement affects the length of daylight and the tilt of the Earth's axis causes different seasons. It's always fun to learn with the lights off!🌞










April has been Occupational Therapy Appreciation Month and we’re proud to recognize our Patrick Henry OT, Marla Skadsen.. Mrs. Skadsen's care, creativity and dedication help Patrick Henry learners grow in confidence and independence every day!


Earlier in April, current 8th grade WEB (Where Everyone Belongs) Leaders helped announce the new 2025-2026 WEB Leaders! Thank you to the 8th Grade WEB Leaders for the time and effort they put into developing their leadership abilities and forming positive relationships with 6th graders throughout the year. The 2025-2026 WEB Leaders will participate in their 1st training during 8th and 9th period this Friday afternoon.






Students on Teams 7.2 and 7.3 created Peep Dioramas to represent seasonal jobs as part of their market economy learning. The top dioramas from each class were selected to be on display in the library!











Due to weather, the track meet that was scheduled for today is postponed. No track or soccer practice for Patrick Henry athletes today. ⛈️⚡

Yesterday, April 22, was National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day. We want to thank all our amazing bus drivers who go above and beyond to make sure our students get to and from school safely. Their dedication, patience, and care positively impact the lives of our students and families. We appreciate you today and every day!

Congratulations to Behr Rients, Bentley Martin, Gabe Reister and Brogan Carder for breaking the school record in the 8th Grade Boys 4x200 relay with a time of 1:40.94. The record that they broke was from 1977!! Way to go Boys! (Not pictured is Brogan Carder).

Patrick Henry students will be taking the annual state assessments in the areas of math and reading. In addition, all 8th graders will take the science assessment. Attendance on testing days is vital. *Please make sure your child charges their Chromebook the night before testing! 💻🔋
ELA Assessment – April 15 during Core Classes
Math Assessment – April 16 during Core Classes
Science Assessment (8th grade only) – April 23-24 during regularly scheduled science classes.
