The Panther Pack, a student group focused on promoting school spirit at Patrick Henry, has been busy planning themes for sporting events this Fall. Game, Fish & Parks Educators and Conservation Officers teamed up to bring the HuntSAFE program to Patrick Henry Middle School in September. Through hands-on lessons in firearm safety, hunting ethics, and outdoor responsibility, students gained the knowledge and confidence to enjoy South Dakota’s great outdoors safely. Thank you to our partners, educators, and officers who made it possible to share this important program with the next generation of hunters! *Patrick Henry had 14 students participate and everyone passed the course with top scores! 👏👏

Last Tuesday, South Dakota State University hosted the Patrick Henry 8th graders. Students had a number of different experiences across different locations on campus. The students viewed a science show in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center, participated in an academic fair in the Miller Wellness Center, learned about student connection and engagement at the University Student Union, and had lunch at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. Thanks to SDSU for inviting the Panthers and helping 8th graders get a glimpse of what the future could hold.
Today our Patrick Henry Middle School teachers dove into the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) during a District Inservice! They explored innovative ways to use AI to enhance classroom learning, boost creativity and support student success. PH teachers are always learning, growing and finding new ways to prepare our Panthers for the future! 💙💛

Congrats to our September Students of the Month that were announced last week! These 6th, 7th and 8th graders are leaders at Patrick Henry and were selected because they demonstrate the school-wide values of Respect, Responsibility and Safety.
The 2025 Patrick Henry Marching Band season was one to remember! Highlights of the season included performing at the Lincoln High School Homecoming game and in the Festival of Bands parade! The band even set a school record with 209 participants and is the largest marching band in the entire city! Way to go Panther Marching Band! 👏👏👏

Patrick Henry 6th graders earned the opportunity to throw a pie in Mrs. Nissen's face earlier this week by donating the most money to the Coin War Fundraiser for Blood Cancer and Childhood Cancer. Thanks to Mrs. Nissen for being such a good sport! 😁
