Our students have been busy spreading appreciation! 💙🖍️ This week, they created heartfelt cards and posters to celebrate our School Resource Officer and our Chief of Police. It was wonderful to see their creativity and gratitude as they shared kind words and messages of thanks for all they do to keep our school and community safe. Our students enjoyed class parties and time with their club groups as we wrapped up the day before winter break. There were lots of smiles, laughter, and special moments spent celebrating together. It was a great way to end the day and head into break feeling connected and joyful. We hope everyone has a safe, restful, and happy winter break! 💙

Winter has definitely arrived, and with all the snow on the ground, many students are eager to climb and play on the snow piles during recess. To make sure everyone can enjoy outdoor play safely and comfortably, please be sure your child comes to school dressed for the weather each day.
Students who wish to play on the snow piles will need to have a warm coat, hat, gloves, and boots. These items help keep our students warm, dry, and ready for learning after recess.

Yesterday, we had an awesome surprise at Garfield — the Wingate Volleyball Team from North Carolina came to visit and play with our students in PE! 🏐💙

🏆 At the end of the month, the class with the best overall attendance will take home the Attendance Trophy!
Let’s finish the year strong—encourage your students to aim high and show up every day! 💪✨
