The second session of Science Club started on Wednesday. The students learned about circuits and then built one with aluminum foil, electrical tape, and batteries that they used to power a light bulb. So cool!

This year our district adopted a new science curriculum called Amplify. Each quarter focuses on a new unit of study. The third graders have been learning about inheritance and traits. They had a lot of fun comparing how their monster offspring were similar and different even though they all had the same parents! It was a fun project and they learned

Kids were enjoying finally getting to get outside after all of this cold and enjoy the big snow hill!

Our fundraising event at Chick-fil-A is tonight January 15th! Please come support our school! Be sure to mention the Community Care Night when placing the order! It is from 4-8 pm! Thanks!

Swimming was so fun this month at Embe! So many smiles and laughs!

Members of the SD Symphony who are in the Dakota String Quartet performed for the Jane Addams third and fourth graders on January 4th. It was a beautiful engaging performance! Many students were excited to see the instruments they currently play in action and many future musicians expressed interest in learning to play one day! Thank you for coming to our school! It was so fun!

The Science Club kids learned about solubility and density by making a homemade lava lamp with oil, water, food coloring, and Alka-Seltzer! The kids loved it!! After all this learning, they had a hard-fought trivia challenge. Thanks to all of our parent helpers who put on Science Club!

Thank you Life Church for spoiling our staff with a yummy nacho bar! We love when you come visit!

Students had a blast at their holiday parties! Big thank you to the room parents for planning and to the other parents who helped in any way! The 5th graders continued their yummy tradition of parents making breakfast! It was so good!
