Pettigrew Student Council will be hosting PINK SHIRT DAY at Pettigrew on Wednesday, February 22nd.
The attached link provides more detail into the history of Pink Shirt Day and it's anti-bullying awareness campaign.
The story behind pink as the shirt color was because a student was being mistreated for a pink shirt that he wore to school, and other students banded together to stand up for this student.
Student Council thinks this would be a great community building day our Pettigrew student body, as well as a wonderful way to spread the Anti-Bullying Message!

The Roosevelt High School Cancer Awareness Club has collaborated with Pettigrew to coordinate a fundraiser for the Cobey DeSchepper family. Cobey is one of our 5th grade Pettigrew students. Shirts and bracelets may be ordered through the link in the QR code on this flyer. **ORDER DEADLINE IS THIS FRIDAY FEBRUARY 17th!! All orders are done online and RHS will sort and deliver shirts to Pettigrew mid March.
