Mr. Wagner got to work on rewarding students for LEVELING UP on their reading skills in Lexia today! When students complete a level in Lexia, they get a certificate of completion. Once that happens, they come to the school office and have their picture taken by Mr. Wagner, Pettigrew Principal, or Mrs. Walden, Pettigrew Assistant Principal. After their picture is taken, they hang it up on the Lexia Legends Wall for the entire school to see! We want to fill that wall with reading accomplishments all year long! We can't wait for our parents to see the wall at conference time! Your donations from the Fun Run have allowed us to purchase cameras and film so we can celebrate our students!
GROWL stands for Great Relationships of Warmth and Leadership. Starting today, you can nominate any Pettigrew staff member who demonstrates these qualities. Each nominee will receive a special pin, and your kind words will help us celebrate the incredible work of our staff.

The Fun Run is a little over a week away! Pettigrew Elementary Principal Tim Wagner and Assistant Principal Jen Walden recently traveled to the moon to kick off the Fun Run Campaign. Did you know the teacher in each grade level whose class raises the most money will get to participate in the Inflatable Space Race? Help your child's teacher get in the race! Thursday 9/25/2025 will be the MAKE-UP day for school pictures.
This picture day opportunity will be specifically for students that were unable to make it to Open House before school started this year.
We will also take pictures on this day for any new students that enrolled at Pettigrew after Open House, as well as all of our Early Childhood students.
This is NOT our picture retake day. Retakes will be on October 30th for all of our students.
Once all of our students have had a chance to have pictures taken, incoming picture packets will be distributed as they arrive.

Today is the day we officially launch our Pettigrew Elementary Fun Run Fundraiser! Please consider making a donation as we will use the funds to recognize and reward our students in academic achievement and effort, character, attendance, and behavior. Our Fun Run event takes place on September 26th.

The newsletter has some of the same information from before plus a lot of new information. The next two weeks are going to be so much fun!
