Due to the weather 4-30-24, SFSD will hold all elementary students who walk or ride the bus until the system passes. We expect the system to arrive about 2:45pm and be done around 3pm. Busses will not leave the elementary schools until it is safe to do so. This will also cause a delay in middle school bus routes, so plan accordingly. If wx is still an issue at high school dismissal time, we will encourage students to wait to leave until the system passes. Thank you.

Weather may cause some challenges at school dismissal time today. SFSD will make plans with your child's safety as our highest priority. If there are changes, parents/guardians will be contacted immediately. We ask that you please monitor your phone and email closely.

Football & Star Wars Fans Unite! Fri, May 3-7:05pm Sioux Falls STORM take on the Green Bay Blizzard to support Operation Hope & Caring, a fundraiser for SFSD elementary schools without PTAs. Wear Star Wars gear, grab a light saber, and get in on the fun!

102 learned all about Earth Day and how they can help keep the Earth clean! ♻️🌏

In celebration of Earth day, Renberg students in 101 cleaned up trash around the field and playground. Nice work 101! 😄

On Friday our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders went to the Washington Pavillion to see Dr. Koboom! The students were excited to see the science experiments and learn the science behind them. Dr. Kaboom's website has links to his social medias where he does more experiments. https://doktorkaboom.com/

Join the Sioux Falls School District for lunch this summer. These schools are going to be offering free lunches to students.

It may have been a gloomy day, but 102 students had a fun during inside recess. 102 students got to play with Legos and Arctic Magna Tiles compliments of Renberg's PTA!

Renberg has a group of teachers participating in an educator wellness book talk. They met on Thursday and had smoothies. Thank you to Scooter's for donating smoothies for our teachers!

The Sioux Falls School District read 318,617 books in the first 3 weeks of March. Renberg read 5,489 books. We are all proud of Renberg students. When students read 10 books or 10 minutes, they received a raindrop and added it to the clouds in the library. Way to read Renberg! 📚

These 2nd graders found and took care of their new "pet" at recess this morning!

For the Month of March, Renberg staff were looking for students and classes that showed acceptance. Golden awards went to 201 for Gym and Library, 301 for Music and 302 for Art. All the students of the month got a free kids meal to Panda Express. We are so proud of all our Bobcats! During April, we are looking for students and classes that show responsibility. Talk with your child(ren) about being responsible at school and at home.

All Renberg 3rd grade students enjoyed the symphony at the Washington Pavillion. The music represented different animals. It was fun to see the students connect the music with the animal. They were very excited for this experience. Thank you Mr. Mendoza for arranging this exciting field trip for our students! 🎶🎻

101 would like to thank Ms.Katie. Ms.Katie works at Wells Fargo Bank and taught our 1st graders the importance of needs and wants, as well as goods and services. Thank you Ms. Katie!

401 had a wonderful time at the water festival last week. What fun!

Miss Kindi and Miss Caitlyn, with the YMCA, took 8 girls from Renberg Elementary School out for a girls day! The YMCA received a grant through the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation to supply young women with clothes. They went shopping at Marshall’s and Walmart to pick out clothes of their choosing, while following school appropriate clothing guidelines. The girls had a great time shopping! They finished their day with lunch at McDonalds!
