The Sioux Falls School District read 318,617 books in the first 3 weeks of March. Renberg read 5,489 books. We are all proud of Renberg students. When students read 10 books or 10 minutes, they received a raindrop and added it to the clouds in the library. Way to read Renberg! 📚

All Renberg 3rd grade students enjoyed the symphony at the Washington Pavillion. The music represented different animals. It was fun to see the students connect the music with the animal. They were very excited for this experience. Thank you Mr. Mendoza for arranging this exciting field trip for our students! 🎶🎻

Remove Learning Day Preparations
Miss Kindi and Miss Caitlyn, with the YMCA, took 8 girls from Renberg Elementary School out for a girls day! The YMCA received a grant through the Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation to supply young women with clothes. They went shopping at Marshall’s and Walmart to pick out clothes of their choosing, while following school appropriate clothing guidelines. The girls had a great time shopping! They finished their day with lunch at McDonalds!

Fall seems like a long way off, but it will be here before we know it! SFSD is planning ahead and is ready to meet students who will enter Kindergarten in August! Kindergarten Registration for students in the Renberg attendance area will be Thursday, March 7 from 4:00-6:00 at Renberg Elementary. During Kindergarten Registration, students and families will get to meet the teacher, visit the classroom and find out about the after school program. You are welcome to bring a copy of your child's birth certificate and immunization record. Your early on line registration helps us plan ahead for the number of teachers, supplies, and buses needed to make your child's school experience a success! If possible, please arrive on March 7th at the recommended time based on the first letter of your last name: A-E @ 4-4:30pm, F-K @ 4:30-5pm, L-R @ 5-5:30pm, and S-Z @ 5:30-6pm. If you are not able to make the recommended time, you may still come between 4-6pm at the time that works best. We can't wait to meet you!
