Renberg's 101 students practiced this week showing IDR (Independent Daily Reading) expectations by reading a good fit book on their "X" spots. 📖

Renberg's 301 students went to the Washington Pavilion on Thursday to see author Juana Media. She shared her life experiences with the students, and she even read part of the book.
Every year 3rd grade gets a book that the South Dakota Humanities and other organizations donate. These organizations are inspiring our youth to read!

Renberg's K01 Math students are learning to sort by attributes. They had fun sorting out buttons by their attributes.

"Report, Don't Repost." Parents, students, and the community are asked to take 3 minutes to hear an important message from Superintendent Jane Stavem and Police Chief Jon Thum. School safety is everyone's responsibility!

Many Renberg students came to school in their Bobcat shirts for Choose Well Wednesday. We are thankful to The Point is to Serve Church for gifting each student their Bobcat shirt for the year. 🐱💙💛

Wednesday is Choose Well Wednesday here at Renberg. Wear your Renberg Bobcat shirt or a shirt with a positive/kind message.

Renberg Elementary would like to give a shout out to The Point Is To Serve Church. Each year, they donate money to our school so that we can purchase a Renberg t-shirt for each student. The new t-shirts arrived today. This church is incredibly generous and kind to our Renberg family!

Congratulations to all our students at Renberg for a successful year. To our 5th grade students, know that you will be missed next year and a piece of you will always be at Renberg. Fifth grade students made this beautiful banner to add to the gym it says: "Watch our future bloom!" We can't wait to see all that you do with your lives. Happy summer to all of Renberg! 🌞

4th grade would like to thank Promising Futures for sponsoring our field trip to Skate City this week. We were planning to go to Prairie Village, but the weather had other ideas. We were lucky enough to be able to switch to Skate City at the last minute! We also would like to give a huge thank you to Skate City for being amazing hosts! For some of our students, it was their first time skating, and they had a blast!

Renberg students in 101 had a great last week of school! They read "Big Bad Bubble" by Adam Rubin and then had bubbles party. Students also presented their U.S Symbols posters , played the cup game challenge and ended the week with a dirt worm ice cream party.

Renberg's 3rd grade students got the chance to listen to Allison Divorak talk about her job as an architect. She did an amazing job teaching students about her job. Thank you Allison and the Renberg PTA for allowing our students to learn new and exciting things!

Renberg's K01 would like to thank our PTA and all the organizations who participated
in Touch a Truck for students in K-2nd grade. The students enjoyed learning about the different trucks and how they are used in our community. THANK YOU!

A big "THANK YOU" to Regen Wiederrich and Valeska Momotic from SDSU. They talked with fifth grade about college. They got the students excited for their futures. Go Jacks!

4th grade would like to thank Dr. Don Ellis and Mrs. Sherry Cummings, along with the Renberg PTA, for talking with us about being an Emergency Pediatric Doctor ! Dr. Ellis said we should all follow our dreams and be whoever we want to be! Great advice and we can't wait to see where all these 4th graders go in life!

K01 had a Fun Field Day! Thank you Mr. Z and the parent volunteers for making it such a fun morning!

Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade boys had a visitor this week. Coach Benedetto from Jefferson High School came by to talk about character and sportsmanship. They got to hear from a high school football coach about what he wants to see from his football players on the field and off the field. He encouraged them to show positive attitude and behavior now so when they get to high school, it is just who they are.
