Wednesday September 30th, 2026, is Orange Shirt Day, which began in Canada in 2013.
Orange Shirt Day promotes awareness about the history of American Indian and Native Residential boarding school systems which still impact Native American and First Nations communities in the United States and Canada. The day honors the children who were removed from their families and forced into boarding schools and remembers those who never returned home.
You may see students wearing Orange shirts on Wednesday September 30th, 2026, in observation of Orange Shirt day. Please join them because EVERY CHILD MATTERS!

Please remember the importance of regular attendance - now is the best time to build those consistent habits of arriving on time and staying for the duration of the school day whenever possible.
Did you know...Missing just 10 minutes per day adds up to approximately 7 days in the school year.
Other Facts About Attendance:
The first 15 minutes of the morning usually include crucial daily announcements, scheduling updates, and the introduction of new lessons.
Leaving 15 minutes early often means missing homework assignments, reminders, and final reviews of the day's material.
Arriving late or leaving early disrupts the teacher and the other students, breaking the flow of classroom focus.
Thank you for working to get your student(s) to school on time and for the duration of the day!
