8th Grade Career Exploration: SD MyLife Program
All 8th grade students participated in the SD MyLife Program in science classes in November. As part of this program, students completed a career interest inventory and some other career related activities.
- The career interest inventory can be useful for students as they:
- Explore careers
- Develop a Personal Learning Plan (a four-year plan for high school)
- Make post high school plans (further education/career plans)
Now that students have completed the interest inventory, they are encouraged to discuss the results with their parents. Students/parents will be able to view the results of the interest inventory and other career related information by logging onto: www.sdmylife.com. Every 8th grade student has received a username and password to access the SD MyLife Program from school or home.
