Requirements
Education Level | Degree in elementary education or related field or equivalent experience in out-of-school time programming. |

Experience Required | Experience with supervision of staff and K-5 youth. Experience planning and implementing out-of-school time learning activities. |
Physical Requirements | Constant hearing, hand-eye, mind-eye coordination; intermittent speaking, standing and walking. |
Other Requirements | Ability to make decisions; excellent organizational and implementation skills. |

Essential Function & Duties
Direct the daily operation of the Junior Kindergarten Plus program.
Develop and implement lessons and enrichment activities that provide connection to the State and Common Core Standards and what is taught during the Junior Kindergarten program.
Arrange for large muscle time: provide activities and supervision.
Take attendance and contact parents if children are absent.
Meet with the principal regularly to be sure the program is meeting expectations.
Communicate with Junior Kindergarten staff to plan enrichment activities related to academic goals and to discuss needs of individual students as permitted.
Discipline of children where/when appropriate and documentation for actions as well as notification of parents.
Effectively communicate with parents/guardians, staff, and children.
Keep the site within budget by keeping accurate accounting of the money spent on supplies.
Work collaboratively with Program Administration, on-site staff, and school staff to ensure quality programming.
Supervise and manage staff and maintain a 1:15 ratio.
Attend Site Coordinator meetings as required.
Attend training opportunities provided by the Community Learning Center or other outside agencies.
Complete required training hours for Child Care licensure, including CPR certification by the deadlines given.
Perform other duties as assigned.
