Education Level | Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; college coursework in education/ youth development, preferred. |

Other Requirements | Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be adaptable to meet the needs of the families in the program in addition to working flexible hours to accommodate work in the evening. |

Essential Function & Duties
The Elementary Program Enhancement Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation, and coordination of elementary-aged education, enrichment, and skill development activities within the after-school and summer program, connecting community resources to the needs of students in a whole-child approach.
Aid in the development, coordination, and implementation of the CLC’s elementary after-school and summer programs.
Work closely with the Sioux Falls School District, Lead Agencies, and community partners under the CLC model.
Establish and maintain relationships with students, families, staff, agencies, and appropriate community partners.
Utilizing information from the student, family, and community engagement sessions, develop a strategic plan for elementary after-school and summer enhancement programs.
Collaborate with Connections Coordinators to identify needs and plan enhancement activities related to CLC elementary programming.
Coordinate with the Program Operations and Excellence Manager and Training Support Specialist to identify areas of needed support for program improvement.
Maintain records of all activities, reports, surveys, and evaluations related to enhancement programs for elementary students and families.
Assist with the coordination and development of policies and procedures as it relates to the CLC.
Provide a quarterly report on student success indicators.
Take part in opportunities for professional development at the local, regional, and/or state level; attend local meetings and training for parent involvement activities; share ideas and experiences with school or district staff, leadership team, and/or other parent professionals.
Perform any and all duties as assigned.
Successfully advances CLC initiatives.
