The 7th grade Očéti Šakówiŋ Owáuŋspe class had visitors from Urban Indian Health on Tuesday to teach them about traditional medicines and their significance and use in Očéti Šakówiŋ culture and ceremonies. UIH gifted each student with a traditional medicines kit to take home. This was an amazing opportunity for our students.

This week we held our POPS concert. It was outstanding! Thank you to all the performers and staff who practiced to put on a wonderful concert.

The BRMS Band Department submitted 35 auditions and 10 were selected for all state band and 1 for all state jazz band. These students will represent our school at the All State events in Mitchell, SD in February & March. CONGRATULATIONS!!

Yesterday we were honored to host our students who received Student of the Month awards during the first semester. Families joined their students, who were recognized by their teams for displaying the Bison Way. We are proud of you!
The Ben Reifel Unity group sang The Star Spangled Banner at the Stampede game recently. We are proud of how hard staff and students worked for this wonderful performance.

Team 6-2 and 6-3 held a toy drive to benefit the Children's Home Shelter for Family Safety this last month. Our students and their families donated overwhelming amounts of new toys that were delivered to the shelter on Dec. 15. Team 6-2 and 6-3 want to thank everyone for their support of our community outreach project. We are proud of our Bison for looking beyond the walls to support the community.
