We had about 675 people attend!!! Thank you to all of those that came and enjoyed food and games with our school community. It was wonderful to see everyone and to see all of the smiles on our students faces!

The challenge is on. 🤩 With only four weeks left of school we want to have a little fun and get all of our students to school every day and finish the school year strong. We know that getting students to school on time, 7:55am, each day helps build skills that go beyond the classroom. Throughout the next couple of weeks, we will have surprise celebrations to help celebrate students that are here each day ready to learn.

Kindness Challenge is on! As spring is upon on we wanted to take a moment and really encourage our students to show kindness all over our school. As staff and students work together we talk about being kind to ourselves, kind to others, and kind in our community! Grade levels are competing to earn the most kindness hearts! ❤️
The Civil War! This week the 5th graders got a special visit to learn more about the Civil War. They got to try on u informs, ask questions, and learn new things from the special presenter!
The stats are troubling-47% of SFSD students qualify for free/reduced lunches. Their family's income is not enough to make ends meet. That makes it difficult to support school fundraisers. Operation Hope & Caring helps! Get your tickets to the SF STORM game to support schools!

Anne Sullivan classrooms are doing a bracket competition based on classroom attendance. We need your help! Help our students get to school on time each and every day to finish the school year strong!
The School Board has voted to move the last day of student classes to Friday, May 26, 2023 - requiring students to make up two of the five days missed due to weather. Staff will report through Friday, June 2, 2023.
Come on back!!! School will start back up again, tomorrow, Tuesday the 11th!! We want to take a minute to focus on 4th quarter attendance as we are pushing for 95% to finish the school strong! We can all work together to get our students to school on time each and every day!!! We can do it!! 🌟
3rd Quarter Assembly Celebration! Yesterday all Anne Sullivan students got to come together to celebrate our growth and successes from 3rd Quarter!
Our 1st grader students were the winners of meeting the Math Dreambox goal! 🔢
Washington High School basketball athletes came to visit! 🏀
The 5th grade students got to take on the teachers in the ultimate basketball game! 🎖️

All students have been working hard to show their Anne Sullivan All Star skills! As a school we have earned over 1,408 tickets in the last month. These tickets are earned by helping others, following directions, being respectful, getting work done in the classroom, and so much more!!
It is exciting to see all of their hard work and amazing skills! We will all keep working hard during 4th quarter!
The zoo came to school!!:) Thank you to the Great Plains Zoo for bringing their animal friends to visit this week! All students got to learn about four new creatures and even pet one!

📚 Everybody Reads update! 📚 So far we have read over 100,000 books which means that REACH literacy will be donating more money for all our hard work!
Our goal is to reach 300,000 books by March 31st! Help our students keep up the good work by encouraging them to read at home or reading with them! WE GOT THIS! 🌟

SFSD would like to give a huge shout-out to our partners at Delta Dental who visit schools to complete much-needed dental work for eligible students! Cleanings, cavities, and root canals are all done in the mobile bus, so students don’t have to miss school for an appointment! You put a smile on our faces, Delta Dental! Thank you!

4th and 5th Grade band and orchestra concert! Today these awesome students performed at school to show their amazing skills and tonight they will have yet another performance! Come and hear all of the new music they have learned this year! Starts at 6:30 in the Anne Sullivan gym! 🎶🎻🎺
🌟Reading is underway!!!🌟 All students are working to read or listen to as many books as possible! Each day students get to keep track of how many books they read that day or how many books were read to them!! At home you can help by reading to your child or having them read to you. Then they can mark that on a star the next day!
This week we will also be having special dress up days to celebrate different kinds of books. Check out all the dress up days to come!
