Last Friday, we celebrated a PBIS reward by getting to dress up wacky!! Kids and staff could wear mismatched clothes, crazy hair, inside out clothes, backwards, etc. throughout the day! It was a fun time had by all!
Swimming is always a blast! The kids even got to watch some people practice scuba diving right next to them! How cool!
The All City 3rd-5th Chess Club Tourney wrapped up this week! Congrats to all of the winners! Thank you to Anthony Pizer for all of his help organizing this each week and to chess master, Dave, for his expertise!
The Science Club learned about water surface tension by dropping pennies into a full glass of water. They estimated the number of pennies that could be added before the water spilled out of the glass.
We did our High Flyers a day early so we could check to see if we earned a crazy dress up day by earning enough tickets for our next PBIS reward and we did!! Friday is the day to dress up silly, clothes inside out, backwards, inside out, etc. Congrats to our High Flyers this week! We are proud you were responsible, respectful, and safe!
Thank you for the support at our Pizza Ranch Fundraiser! We earned $693! Thank you to all of the students and families who helped clear tables as well! Some families who were still there watched for Miss Leloux on the live stream of the Teacher of the Year Ceremony-so sweet! Fun night!

Miss Leloux's third graders got to extract DNA from strawberries when they visited the Sanford Promise Research Center! They had so much fun being scientists during their experiment! They looked so official in their lab coats! They even got a tour of the big labs where researchers are working on important experiments to try to cure diseases! Maybe one of these students will work there someday! Great learning experience! Thanks to the parents for driving and helping out!

The third graders went to Dow Rummel this month again. They made leprechauns to put up on the resident's doors for St. Patrick's Day coming up and then played Candyland and card games. It was lots of fun!
Kids Care happened last Friday for the 4th and 5th graders. They enjoyed helping different businesses in many ways! It's such a good experience for all!

The Valentine's Day Parties were a "sweet" success! The smiles and laughs tell a fun story of a great day with many happy memories! There were so many creative boxes as always too! Signing our compliment hearts in Family is always a fun tradition! Each kid gets a heart with their name on it and then kids get to go around and write positive compliments on them! It is such a cool thing to watch as they get back to their own heart and get to see the joy in their eyes as they read the nice things everyone had to say! Spread some joy today to those around you by giving someone a compliment and watch their face light up! Happy Valentine's Day!
