November 17-21, WHS will be hosting a Winter Coat Drive that will support our Warriors in need. We are asking you to donate new or gently used coats, hats and gloves. Bring the donations to your first period class this week

Are you interested in being part of a team that's all about teamwork, inclusion, and fun? Unified basketball is back! This awesome program brings together students with and without disabilities together to play basketball, build friendships, and represent our school. If you want to learn more, come to an informational meeting in room E124 on Thursday, November 13th during 4A. Please see Mrs. Nissen in room E124 to pick up a participation form.
WHS Seniors: Our Josten's representative will be at WHS on Thursday, November 13th at a table near the Auditorium over Warrior Halftime to distribute ordered caps and gowns. You can still place your cap and gown orders if you have not ordered yet. If you have any questions, please see Angela in the Counseling Office.
WHS Winter Formal will be held on Saturday, December 6th. At Winter Formal, students are allowed to bring one non-WHS guest. This guest needs to be signed up by Tuesday, November 25th. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this deadline. Please pick up your guest form in the Student Services Office and return it to the Administration Office. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Stahlberg or Mrs. Vander Well.
Applications for Student Council can be picked up in room A114 or in Student Services. and are due on Friday, November 14th. Please turn in your completed application to Mrs. Vander Well in room A114 or Mrs. Stahlberg in room A126.
Congratulations to the following WHS Orchestra members who were selected for All-State Orchestra: Kyra Gurath, Xaria Gurath, Josiah Holder, Molly Steele, and Akaiya Gabon on violin and Austin Lawrence on tuba. Way to go Warriors!

There will be a mandatory Boys Wrestling meeting this Friday, October 31st at 7:40 am. This meeting will provide information on hydration testing which is mandatory to wrestle. Contact Coach Peters with any questions.
Thursday, November 6th is the opening night for the fall play, "Emily Bronte: Teenage Necromancer!". Tickets are $6 and available at the door or by scanning the QR code on posters throughout the school. Shows are November 6, 7 and 8 and begins at 7:00pm in the Little Theatre.
The National Honor Society is conducting a hygiene drive is this week. Please bring full size bars of soap, toothpaste, deodorant, etc., to your first period classroom. See Frau Sam in room A153 with any questions.
WHS Seniors: The free college application period is October 1 - November 30, 2025. Students may apply to South Dakota's technical colleges and universities free of charge for two months each fall. During the free application period, you are encouraged to explore and apply to any of the technical colleges and universities. For more information, please stop by the WHS Counseling office.
Attention WHS Students: There will be a free flu shot clinic held in the commons after school on Wednesday, October 22nd. Pick up your permission forms in Student Services.

The Parent/Athlete information meeting for Gymnastics will be held on Wednesday, October 8th at 5:30pm in the SF Lincoln Gymnastics Room. Contact Coach Pingrey with any questions.
Anyone who is interested in participating in Archery Club is required to attend two training sessions! The sessions will be Thursday, October 9th and Thursday, October 16th in the mini-gym after school from 3:15-4:00pm. See Mrs. Nesje with any questions.

Thursday's theme for Homecoming dress-up day is "Throwback". Dress in a favorite decade!

Wednesday's Homecoming Dress-up say is "Neon" day - wear your brightest neon colors!

Homecoming 2025 is almost here! This year's theme is "Warriorfest" and Student Council has some fun events planned for you. Starting Monday, September 29 you can purchase a pizza feed ticket for $7 on the Bound app or with cash during Warrior Halftime. This includes pizza, a cookie and water.

Today, WHS is launching the "You Matter" campaign. Throughout the week you will see and hear about resources related to Suicide Prevention. Reach out to your school counselor for further support and resources. You matter, you belong.
