On Thursday, January 29th, four WHS students joined JAG students from across the state in Pierre for Part II of our statewide project-based learning experience, Capitol Conversations!

Our Sioux Falls students had the incredible opportunity to receive a private Capitol tour from Public Utilities Commissioner Kristie Fiegen, observe committee meetings in action, learn about the State Supreme Court, and meet Governor Rhoden and Lt. Governor Venhuizen.

It was a powerful day of hands-on learning, civic engagement, and leadership development.

Attention Warriors! We take on the Lincoln Patriots this Friday in our first home basketball doubleheader of the season! Not only that, but the LHS Patriot Pride Committee has challenged us to a Diaper Drive for The Teddy Bear Den. Here’s how you can help: Bring diapers to school anytime or bring them to the GBB/BBB Doubleheader this Friday, December 12th at Washington High School. The Teddy Bear Den is especially in need of diaper sizes 4, 5, and 6. Please bring them to Student Services before Friday. There will be tables set up at WHS for drop-off at the game. Let's start the season with victories, on the hardcourt and with diapers for the Teddy Bear Den! Go Warriors!
