While we are already several weeks into the 2022-2023 school year, we wanted to remind families that meal costs have resumed unless the Free/Reduced Application has been approved based on income guidelines. For families who filled out the application last year, a 30-day grace period was in effect for the beginning of this year, where meals have remained free until a new Free/Reduced Application can be completed. That grace period ends this Friday, October 7, 2022. All meals after October 7 will be charged at full price unless an approved application is on file. Applications must be submitted each year. If you believe you may qualify, please fill out the application.
To make the approval process quicker this year, the Free/Reduced Application is available in the Parent Portal of Infinite Campus. To fill out the application, use the same login where you check grades and provide the annual information update to complete the application. (From the left menu, click More, then Meal Benefits, on the link that says Meal Application. An electronic signature PIN is required to submit your Meal Benefits Application. If you do not have an electronic signature PIN created, you will be prompted to do so before starting your online Meal Benefits Application, which takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete.)
Please use the online system for the quickest approval. Paper copies of the application are, however, still available. Contact Child Nutrition Services at 605-367-7635 or your child's school for help.
