Last week fourth and fifth grade Challenge Center did a Farm to Table interim! As part of the interim, they attended two field trips to Hyvee and Stensland Farms!

On Thursday 501 and 503 attended the STARBase field trip. 503 went to the Learning Lab (The old New Tech Highschool) and immersed themselves into the world of STEM. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math. One major rule of STARBase, is that we cannot ruin the fun surprises for others who haven't been on the field trip yet. So, even though we cannot say what the students did, we can say that they had tons of fun at STARBase and learned a lot.

RF/CC Science Fair! Did you know that your child can enter a project in the science far? Date: April 21 from 6:30-8 PM. RF/CC families are welcome to attend the event to see the awesome projects that evening.
We had several special guest readers in several RF/CC classrooms today! The students really enjoyed listening to them read. One hockey player even solved a rubik's cube in less than one minute in 311! They also made an appearance on the playground with CC third grade and RF fifth grade.

The Sioux Falls School Board approved a recommendation at their meeting tonight to move the last day of school from Tuesday, May 24, 2022 to Wednesday, May 25, 2022 due to the one day of school missed for inclement weather in December.
Miss Jensen's third graders are working with future teachers who are college students from Augustana. They are learning about different types of landforms in the United States in a semester long social studies project!
