Nati and Father

Arba Minch is a city in the southern part of Ethiopia and is also where one of 3rd grade student's family is from. The city's name means "40 Springs" which originated from the presence of more than 40 natural springs. The summer of 2021 they made a trip back home and today shared with the students pictures and information from their trip. They started with explaining on a globe that it takes 23 hours and some minutes to fly from Sioux Falls, SD to Arba Minch. Students quickly understood that it was close to 24 hours - A WHOLE DAY! Students also took part in learning how to pronounce many of the small towns nearby, mountains and lakes. Thank you Nati and Zerihun for sharing your experiences with our students.
