Today we celebrated Mrs. Thompson's birthday. Mrs. Thompson was a long time teacher at LBA. Although she is not with us anymore, her legacy of kindness and love of books lives on at LBA! Each grade level chose a new book to read as a class. Class 341 students signed Mrs.Thompson’s book to create a special memory in her honor.

As a Washington HS feeder school, we have been invited to join with some of the Homecoming fun.

• Friday, October 3rd: WARRIORFEST Wear your Warrior Gear or LBA gear and show school pride!!!

Reminder...Family Breakfast and Annual Title 1 meeting at LBA is tomorrow morning starting at 7:15. We hope to see you there.

Please make plans to join us at school on Friday, September 26th at 7:15 am for a free Family Breakfast! We will have egg bake, fruit, and milk.
After the breakfast, Mr. Helleson will share some information at our Annual Title I Family Meeting. We will also have a guest from Think 3D share about an exciting opportunity for families to join with the LBA staff to participate in a Leaders of Tomorrow development course beginning in October. We will again be offering a Chess Club during the 2025-26 school year.
The club will be open to students in grades 2-5 and we will meet on Tuesdays after school (2:45-3:45) beginning on September 30th. This fall we will meet for 8 sessions, ending on December 9th. We will not meet on October 14th (Inservice Day), November 11th(Veterans’ Day), and the Tuesday before Thanksgiving on November 25th.

Parents / Guardians of students wanting to be in the Chess Club need to complete the form and return it to school by Friday, September 26th.

Picture Day is coming up on 9/16/2025. Attached is the flyer from Scherling Photography. Paper forms came home last week and we also have extras in the office. Please send the envelope back with your student on the day of pictures if you ordered on-line. If you pay by cash you will need to send in the exact amount as the office does not have change.
