Today, our school gathered for a special assembly to celebrate surpassing our October SOAR Slip goal! Our target was 1,640 slips, and our amazing students earned a total of 1,912 for showing what it means to be Safe, On Task, Always Kind, and Respectful. 🦅
Students enjoyed an energetic performance from the RHS pep band, cheerleaders, color guard, and inspiring messages from RHS Pep Club members. We also kicked off our November Attendance Challenge with Oscar Howe Elementary. Remember, being on time and ready to learn every day helps us all grow and gives us a great chance to win the challenge!
We ended the assembly with a visit from Police Chief Thum, Leo (the Sioux Falls PD therapy dog 🐾), and Sgt. Meyer. Chief Thum shared three simple rules for success:
1️⃣ Be where you're supposed to be
2️⃣ When you're supposed to be there
3️⃣ Doing what you're supposed to be doing
We’re so grateful to Chief Thum and the SFPD team for joining us and helping our students SOAR! 💙❤️🤍
