Honor Fest

This morning, the Jefferson High School gymnasium was packed with students to honor the achievements of JHS students and staff. 

Following the National Anthem, performed by the JHS Concert Choir, and the Jefferson School Song the awards presentation began with recognizing the 73 students who were inducted into the National Honor Society and Student of the Month recipients who exemplify what it means to be a Cavalier. 

Regents Scholar Award and President's Education Award of Excellence

The Spirit of Jefferson Award

Recognizes community members, parents, and staff members for their contributions to Jefferson High School based on the criteria of competing for excellence, service, integrity, inclusion, and leadership. 

Community - Embrace Church - Travis Finke, executive of operations, and Jacob Lewis, associate pastor Sertoma Campus. 

Parent - Tony Erickson, JHS Booster Club President

Teacher - Mrs. Michele Jensen, Science Teacher

The Jefferson Green and Gold Award

Throughout the morning, 101 students were recognized by each staff member for demonstrating the traits of being a Cavalier and awarded the Green and Gold Award.
