The Cavalier Volleyball Team closed out a hard-fought season with a seventh-place finish at the State Tournament in Rapid City, held November 20–22. Jefferson entered postseason play with an 11–12 regular-season record and earned the No. 11 seed heading into the SoDak 16.
The Cavaliers delivered one of their biggest performances of the year in the elimination round, securing a 3–1 upset over sixth-ranked Rapid City Stevens to punch their ticket to the state tournament.
At State, Jefferson faced tough early matchups, falling 0–3 to O’Gorman in the first round and 0–3 to Washington in the consolation semifinals. The team rebounded in their final match, sweeping eighth-ranked Mitchell 3–0 to claim seventh place and close the season on a high note.
The Cavaliers end their year with grit, growth, and a postseason run marked by resilience and memorable moments.
