Throughout the year, these amazing students lend a helping hand in many ways, including supporting Coins for Kids, welcoming families during Kindergarten Tours, helping at BINGO Night, and assisting in classrooms. We are so proud of their willingness to serve others and show what it means to be a Hurricane HERO! 💙💚

🚌 Bus Safety in Action! 🚌 Safety first! Yesterday, our students took time to learn all about school bus safety and the importance of staying safe when riding the bus. Every student had the opportunity to practice a bus evacuation, learning what to do and how to exit the bus safely in an emergency. A big thank-you to our School Bus Inc. for helping teach and reinforce these valuable safety lessons!

First grade field trip to Our Farm

☕ STARBOOKS! 📚 Students enjoyed exploring different fiction genres during our STARBOOKS activity! Using Starbucks cups labeled with different genres, students discovered which “genre shop” to visit and explored books that matched their interests. It was a fun and engaging way to discover new genres and find their next great read!

The Fire Safety House stopped by JHE for our third graders today. They had great questions for the fireman and learned about how to exit a home safely in the event of a fire.

JHE kindergartners have been visiting Fire Station #9. Today was K02's turn!

Book Fair VOLUNTEERS needed!

We're excited to announce that our school will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair, which will take place, during conferences, on Tuesday, October 13th from 12pm to 7pm and Thursday, October 15th from 3:30pm to 7pm.

It's one of the most anticipated events of the school year for students-but we
need volunteers to make it happen. Your help is crucial in making the Book Fair a truly
unforgettable experience for our children. We hope you'll consider offering your time
and talents to get it running!

It was beautiful morning for Walk to School Day!

Tomorrow is JHE's "Walk to School Day." If families/students are able, we'd love to see our school community enjoying the brisk morning air and hopefully a little bit of sunshine🤞!

What an action packed afternoon! The weather held off for the 2026 Fun Run. Thanks to Aubrey Erickson, the JHE PTO, and the many volunteers for making the event possible!
