Hi! I'm Ms. Burns. I've been teaching since 2012 and moved to Sioux Falls in 2022. I've taught middle and high school choir and truly love my job.

I love watching the lightbulb turn on as students begin to understand music more at the middle school level! It's a fun process to watch and definitely rewarding. In my free time, I love to sing, play piano and go to concerts/shows. Anywhere from heavy metal to musical theater.

I have been teaching since 2013. I graduated college from South Dakota State University with a Bachelors of Science, and Art Education degree. In 2022 I graduated from the University of Sioux Falls with my Masters of Technology in Education.

Every person has different experiences, in life, and with creating art. Many people are nervous about their drawing or lack of drawing skills. Putting effort into learning and growing is far more important than having natural skills.

In my professional art career, I have been actively showing my work, making murals, making commission pieces, and working on various projects since 2010.
