RAK

This week is Random Acts of Kindness week with Saturday, February 17 being Random Acts of Kindness Day. This week is all about spreading kindness. We know that everyone can use more kindness in their world. The day was started to encourage more kindness between people by doing thoughtful things or kind gestures, no matter how big or small. There are many ways that you can join in to spread kindness and positivity. Even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference to someone.

Here are some ideas how you might spread kindness.

1. Let someone have a turn before you.

2. Smile and say hello to everyone you see today.

3. Leave a kind note for your teacher or tell them thank you.

4. Ask someone playing alone at recess to play with you.

5. Make it a NO complaining day.

6. Do a chore at home to help a family member.

7. Tell someone why they are important to you.

8. Compliment 5 people today.

9. Read a book or play a game with your brother or sister.

10. Use only positive words.

Your challenge is to spread kindness this week by doing one simple act. Afterwards, see how you feel. Not only will you help bring kindness to someone else, but it's likely you'll also feel pretty good.
