UFLI (pronounced You Fly) is a new reading curriculum that is being piloted to the Kindergarten students at Cleveland Elementary for the 2023-24 school year.
The program focuses on the teaching of phonics (or sounding out words) so that they have a stronger foundation in both reading and writing.
Teachers took part in training this summer to learn more about the program and were provided resources for instruction.
Today, our Kindergarten teachers provided the first day of a new concept within UFLI to our students. We are excited to watch the progress our students make and analyze the data throughout the year.
