Everybody Reads

The Sioux Falls School District, alongside our friends at the Siouxland Libraries, are launching a month-long community-wide reading initiative in March. The initiative is called “Everybody Reads.” Throughout the month, students, staff, parents, and community members are being encouraged to track how many books they read. The theme of this inaugural year is a tree. Each school and public library will have a paper tree trunk of sorts on display in its space. Each time a book is read, the tree will be decorated with a paper leaf decorated by the reader. We are hopeful to have a tree lush with leaves by the end of March! The goal of this initiative is to create a community of readers.
