The middle school health curriculum is aligned to State Content Area Health Standards. All sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students enroll in a one quarter health class. Students learn about the interrelationship of behavior and health, the prevention of diseases, and build a foundation for leading healthy and productive lives. The health curriculum will provide students with health literacy skills to establish, promote and support health-enhancing behaviors, and to promote personal, family, and community health.
