Spanish Immersion is a unique educational program, which requires a basic commitment from parents or guardians that for each child in the program, a parent or guardian is required to read to the student in English every day for 20 minutes. The best benefit for the student from the Spanish Immersion Program is received if they complete the entirety of both the Elementary program (K-5) and Middle School program (6-8). Any application received serves as the applicant’s notice of intent to enroll in the Spanish Immersion Program, and obligates the student to attend Sonia Sotomayor Elementary School. If you wish to withdraw your child after acceptance into the program, an exit interview with Sonia Sotomayor Administration must be completed.

If you live outside of the SFSD boundaries, you must submit an Open Enrollment application online at the same time.

Completed application must be submitted to Sonia Sotomayor Elementary School
