The Safe and Drug Free Schools Program Act provide activities that have a clear educational objective or component for the purpose of alcohol, other drug use and violence prevention.

The program provides chemical dependency counselors in the middle and high schools, in service programs for staff, student workshops, support for the School Resource Officer program, and a Student Assistance Program.
