High School Health and Physical Education
The Sioux Falls School District believes that all students should be health literate. Health literacy includes the capacity of individuals to obtain, interpret, and understand basic health information and services, and the competence to use such information and services in ways to enhance health. Our intent is to promote information to students that will support long-term behaviors of healthy living.
The Sioux Falls School District’s high school physical education curriculum is guided by national and state standards in physical education. These standards outline for students what they must demonstrate, value and maintain in order to lead a physically active lifestyle.
