Sioux Falls School District Policies and Regulations

Following First Readings, policies open for public input can be found on the Policies Open for Input page.

Sioux Falls School District Policies are grouped within sections A-L below (use links to go directly to the desired section or scroll down through entire list).

A-Foundations | B-Board | C-Federal Programs | D-Fiscal | E-Support Svcs | F-Facilities

G-Personnel | I-Instruction | J-Students | K-Community Relations | L-Agency Relations

Policies and Regulations are classified by the National Education Policy Network (NEPN) classification system. Please note that Section H (Negotiations) is not listed. Within the Sioux Falls School District, negotiation issues are governed by each bargaining unit's working agreement with the District, pursuant to Personnel Policy GB.

The following list contains Sioux Falls School District policies and regulations adopted by the School Board. If a policy/regulation applies to Southeast Technical Institute as well as the Sioux Falls School District, Southeast Technical Institute will appear in the header on the first page.

Policies are written statements which express the will and intent of the Board with regard to operation of the District and the schools therein.

Regulations, when needed, contain more detailed directions that are developed to assist in putting policies into practice. Not all policies require a regulation.

Documents are available as Microsoft ® Word Documents. If you do not have Microsoft® Word, you may Download the free Word Viewer (provided by Microsoft®).
