History
Theodore Roosevelt High School opened in September, 1991. The school is located on a 40 acre campus in southwest Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a metropolitan area with a population of over 120,000. The RHS student body is comprised of students in grades 9-12. Roosevelt High School serves approximately 1,800 students.Roosevelt High School is accredited by the South Dakota Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, and is a member of, and accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
Roosevelt High School was selected as a pilot site for the South Dakota Modernization Project. Through the modernization project and continued efforts to improve student achievement, Roosevelt High School has embarked upon programs in Value-Added Instruction, Classroom Management That Works, 21st Century Skills, Curriculum Mapping and Differentiated Instruction.
Roosevelt High School has been consistently ranked in the top 3 to 4 percent of all high schools in the United States.
