The Sioux Falls School District values its ongoing partnership with community stakeholders as it seeks to meet its mission “to educate and prepare each student to succeed in a changing world.” As the city continues to flourish as a vibrant economic engine, those successes are resulting in increasing enrollment in the public schools.

As part of the Strategic Plan, the district is seeking feedback from all stakeholders regarding future facility needs.

In an effort to envision an even brighter future for the Sioux Falls School District, the district held three community listening sessions in March and April, and a 30-member, citizen-led Facilities Task Force met in April and May to develop recommendations to address needs.

Now, we want your opinion.

All residents in the district’s attendance area are invited to participate in the survey at the link below, which seeks input on short-term and long-term solutions to a variety of needs identified in the district. Please know that individual responses will remain confidential. The survey will close on June 24. The estimated time required to complete the survey is 15 minutes. We respect your time, and we want to emphasize the importance of your participation.

Information from community members will be used by the board and the Facilities Task Force to determine recommendations and to prioritize solutions. The board will consider bringing forward solutions to the most urgent concerns for voters to consider in a September 2018 referendum.
